1. Click on “Transfer Money”
Start by logging into your Chase account and navigating to the “Transfer Money” section. This is where you manage fund transfers between accounts.
2. Select “Add External Account”
In this step, you’ll be adding an external bank account to link with your Chase account. This could be an account from another bank or a secondary Chase account.
3. Click “Add External Account” Again
This confirms that you are starting the process to link a bank drop, which is an account used to transfer or deposit funds. If the drop is a Chase account, the process will continue within Chase’s systems.
4. Choose “Add Account Manually”
Here, instead of linking the account using Chase’s automated system, you choose to add it manually using the micro-deposit method. This approach is often more reliable, as it doesn’t trigger certain automatic security checks. In the micro-deposit method, Chase will make two small test deposits into the external account, and you will confirm them later.
5. Enter the Account and Routing Number
Now, you input the account number and routing number of the external bank account (or “banklog”) you’ve acquired. Be sure to double-check that the numbers are entered correctly to avoid issues.
6. Go Back to “Transfer Money”
After the account has been added, return to the “Transfer Money” section to initiate a transfer. You may need to wait for the micro-deposits to appear in the external account before proceeding.
7. Click “Verify” to Confirm Activation
Once the micro-deposits have been made to the external account, you’ll need to verify them by entering the exact amounts into the Chase system. This confirms that you have control over the external account and completes the activation process.
8. The Bank Drop is Successfully Linked
At this point, the bank drop (external account) is now fully linked to your Chase account. You can now transfer funds between these accounts.
9. Schedule the Transfer
Now it’s time to move money. Schedule a transfer from the newly linked external account (hacked log) and choose an internal account within the Chase system (the bank drop) to receive the funds. Ensure that the transfer details are accurate.
10. Transfer Completed
If everything goes smoothly, the transfer will be made successfully, moving the funds from the external account into the internal Chase drop account. Be sure to verify the transaction in both accounts to ensure it was completed properly.
